Donations

St Lawrence Chapel Warminster is independent of the Church of England and owned by the town since 1575.

We are entirely reliant on donations, grants, fundraising by the Friends of the Chapel and rental income from Curfew Cottage (situated to the rear of the Chapel).

This is a historic building dating back to the 13th century.

The Feoffees and Trustees are responsible for the maintenance and development of the Chapel for future generations.

We need your support. Donations to support this wonderful Chapel in the centre of Warminster would be greatly appreciated.

A non-royal, interdenominational ‘peculiar’ Chapel

800th Celebration 2016

St Lawrence Chapel was established in the 13th century, taken by the crown in 1549 and has been a trust since 1575. It is managed by twelve Feoffees (Trustees) who, as guardians, are responsible for the preservation and upkeep of the Chapel on behalf of the townspeople of Warminster.
