Donations

St Lawrence Chapel Warminster is independent of the Church of England and owned by the town since 1575.

​

We are entirely reliant on donations, grants, fundraising by the Friends of the Chapel and rental income from Curfew Cottage (situated to the rear of the Chapel).

​

This is a historic building dating back to the 13th century.

​

The Feoffees and Trustees are responsible for the maintenance and development of the Chapel for future generations. 

​

We need your support. Donations to support this wonderful Chapel in the centre of Warminster would be greatly appreciated.

A non-royal, interdenominational ‘peculiar’ Chapel 

800th Celebration 2016

St Lawrence Chapel was established in the 13th century, taken by the crown in 1549 and has been a trust since 1575. It is managed by twelve Feoffees (Trustees) who, as guardians, are responsible for the preservation and upkeep of the Chapel on behalf of the townspeople of Warminster.
