Services and Events

St Lawrence Chapel is independent of the Church of England, but is supported by the clergy from the Church of St Denys. They undertake the regular Communion and themed services, marriages and baptisms.

The Chapel provides a venue for a wide variety of Friends, community, civic and charity events.

As an interdenominational chapel we can also host clergy and services from other dioceses, all Christian faiths and celebrants.

800th Celebration 2016

St Lawrence Chapel was established in the 13th century, taken by the crown in 1549 and has been a trust since 1575. It is managed by twelve Feoffees (Trustees) who, as guardians, are responsible for the preservation and upkeep of the Chapel on behalf of the townspeople of Warminster.
